Starfront Observatories, nestled in the pristine skies of Central Texas, is a cutting-edge remote astrophotography facility that combines accessibility with advanced technology. Built by a deep team of astrophotography experts, the observatory focuses on making high-quality astrophotography achievable for enthusiasts at an affordable cost. Our on site team manages the observatory’s infrastructure, including the installation and optimization of telescopes for remote use. Our custom-built observatories can accommodate all types of telescope systems, from smaller telescope systems to much larger, more advanced setups. Our buildings are engineered to minimize obstructions and maximize sky exposure under the exceptional darkness of Bortle 1 skies.
Many astrophotographers, such as Ian Low, have already joined the observatory, utilizing instruments such as the Borg 107 telescope, while our resident astrophotographer Bray Falls himself operates equipment like a RASA 8 and RedCat 61 for capturing deep-sky images. The site is equipped with advanced automation, including the Sky Roof and SkyAlert systems, which ensure seamless operations and weather safety, enabling remote users to focus entirely on their imaging. With a community-oriented approach and state-of-the-art facilities, Starfront Observatories provides a gateway to explore the cosmos in unparalleled clarity.
